The Seagull 5000i is a voice, data and fax satellite terminal with a built-in GPS tracking system to keep vessels connected at sea. With the optional FaxConnect interface box, maritime operators can also send G3 faxes on a global basis. The Seagull 5000i terminal is a robust and versatile solution for small- and medium-sized fishing vessels, yachts, patrol boats and other sea vessels that require a combination of voice telephony, data, fax and tracking functions.

As an affordable and user-friendly terminal, Seagull 5000i enables you to make satellite phone calls to anywhere in the world through the Thuraya satellite network. Seagull 5000i also supports SMS services through its easy-to-use menu, while providing full-duplex, IP-based data communications capabilities through the Thuraya GmPRS technology — allowing for email access, weather reports or web browsing.
Sophisticated GPS tracking system
Equipped with an onboard GPS receiver, the Seagull 5000i is able to transmit information such as a ship’s identity and position, with date and time stamp necessary for tracking services that have been made mandatory by international maritime and fishery authorities.
Enhanced safety and security
The tracking and monitoring functions of Seagull 5000i are user-configurable for fixed time interval or event-triggered operation, and can also be remotely activated. An emergency distress button is available to notify up to three preset contacts, alerting them of an emergency situation.
